Your kitten will be difficult to place, but not impossible. I would suggest asking local vets if you could post a modest-sized photo and description of the kitten in their waiting rooms. Most vets allow adoption notices to be placed in their offices.

Dozens of people who care about pets pass through a vet’s waiting room every day. There is a chance that a compassionate person, who is in a position to adopt your kitten, may see your notice and offer to help.

Best of luck!

How long do cats live with feline leukemia?

It is impossible to accurately predict the life expectancy of a cat infected with FeLV. With appropriate care and under ideal conditions, infected cats can remain in apparent good health for many months, although most succumb to a FeLV-related disease within two or three years after becoming infected. If your cat has already experienced one or more severe illnesses as a result of FeLV infection, or if persistent fever, weight loss, or cancer is present, a much shorter survival time can be expected.

I think my cat died from this he got out and was hurt badly. One of the ways FeLV spreads is through bites from other cats and after he got back home and looked like he was better, his wounds were all healed, he died in his sleep. I hope.
Keep your cats inside and love them till they’re sick of you.:)

Yes. The only way your vaccinated cat can get it is if the infected cat’s blood gets inside of your vaccinated cat’s body.
